Sheikh Abdel Mutaal Mansour Arafa in brief
(1927-1992)

He was born in the village of Bani Adiyat al-Qibliya, one of the villages of the governorate of Assiut, on the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah in 1345 AH, corresponding to the eighth of June 1927AD. This village is famous for the name of the village of scholars, due to the birth of many distinguished scholars, headed by His Eminence Sheikh Hassanein Makhlouf, the former Grand Mufti of Egypt.

In 1949, he obtained a high degree from the readings section, and in 1953 he received a certificate of specialization of readings for the first batch that graduated from the department and was appointed in the same year as a teacher in the department in which he graduated. In 1954, he obtained a certificate of universality from Al-Azhar, which was a ladder for membership in the Council of Senior Scholars. Al-Azhar then chose him as an envoy to Sudan, where he worked as a useful science publisher from 1954 to 1957.

In 1957, he was appointed as an observer in Al-Azhar, then he was assigned to work in the Al-Azhar mission in Algeria. He stayed there from 1963 to 1967 to teach in religious institutes that were established after its independence and returned to Cairo. He worked at Al-Azhar University in teaching intonation in his various colleges, and he worked in the teaching staff and also worked in the corps Administrative and included in the positions of an agent of the Institute of readings in Shubra, in 1969 until he became the sheikh of the same institute in 1975 before he was appointed Sheikh of the Egyptian reciters to teach the readings.

He also had the greatest credit for building and constructing the Al-Azhar Institute in Imbaba, as well as the Al-Azhar Primary Institute in Bani Adiyat, Assiut, which the villagers insisted on naming in the name of the Sheikh Abdul-Muttal Al-Azhari Institute. He also contributed in the field of building and building mosques, as he participated in establishing the Al-Nour Mosque in the city of Tahrir in Imbāba, and may God bless him, so he honored and honored him by building the Radwan Mosque in his village in Bani Adiyat, Assiut.
