Various insurance services are already offered in all walks of life. One of them is national insurance, namely BPJS (Social Security Organizing Agency). In addition to BPJS Health insurance there is also BPJS Employment. If BPJS Health is for all Indonesian citizens, then BPJS Employment must be owned by all workers who receive wages or salaries in both the formal and informal sectors.

Each company is also required to register its employees as BPJS Employment participants. This obligation has been regulated in detail in Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning the Social Security Organizing Body. This workforce social security program has a role in providing work accident insurance, life insurance, pension insurance, and old age benefits.

The BPJS Employment Program was initiated by the government as an effort to improve the welfare of workers. The legal entity directly responsible to the central government offers various programs that can be enjoyed by all types of workers.
