Iran's commercial law is the most important set of commercial laws in Iran that forms the basis of Iranian commercial law. This law was approved by the National Assembly on May 13, 1931 in six hundred articles. This law has been translated and prepared based on the 1807 French Commercial Code (known as the Napoleonic Code), which is considered by most Iranian jurists to be inadequate and excessively incomplete and vague. And some provisions related to brokerage and bankruptcy, the rest of the provisions of this law remain in force.
In 1347, the regulations of the joint stock companies section of the Commercial Code were amended and in 300 articles, new regulations were enacted for public and private joint stock companies.

This law sets out the principles of commercial transactions, commercial offices, commercial documents and checks, brokerage, labor rights, transportation contract, commercial deputy and other business representatives, guarantee, bankruptcy, trade name and legal personality and commercial company. .
