It also tells you how old your lungs would be for each generated profile. Research by Professor Tobin and team at the Department of Genetics, University of Leicester identified genes that are responsible for COPD. We all know that smoking is bad for us but for some people it is much worse than for others - this depends upon your genes and if you have variation in your genome at the points identified by this research then you are much more at risk.
First designed for the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2012 the fruit machine is designed by Andrew Shefford and coded by Dr Gary Fozzard. This adaptation has been constructed to assist in research on the affect of genetic information on smoking habits of young people.
