The idea for Radio Dunkle Welle emerged mid 2000. Sina worked at that time in the bitter colorful Zillertal, Tirol. The next scene-Club in Germany was about 1.5 hours drive away and the Zillertal is not for nothing called "Mallorca of the Alps". So it was something bad with listening to music. The only good thing Sina had was a decent Internet connection. So she looked for "online radio" which met their taste in music. There was to listen to while a few hours of terrestrial radio stations, who had a consignment of 1-2 hours per week or month, but that it was not enough. Discontent began to spread and Sina was annoyed that there seemed to be no online radio for the black scene in the German-speaking countries, wurde.So played at the "their" music came Sina on this 'gap' and found out pretty quickly that it with the home PC is relatively easy even to make radio. So very soon after birth, the first channel of Radio Dunkle Welle went online and on 30.10.2000 was followed by the first moderated live broadcast.
