Lampung Province has many local historical loci. From megalithic sites, the tombs of the founders of Islam, places of worship and colonial-era buildings that are hundreds of years old.
The problem is, in addition to some of the conditions that are now of concern, not all people know the exact location of these loci. While the progress of time makes the younger generation seem to lose their identity. They do not know the history of the region itself.
For this reason, in an effort to bring the past closer to the present through Android technology, we want to carry out an Android-based application creation, namely DIGITAL MAP OF LAMPUS HISTORY LOCUS.
This is a "historical event" considering that until now there is no Android-based historical Lampung map.
The product produced is an Android-based digital map application. This application contains historical loci in Lampung, combining short narrative texts about loci, images, and Google Maps facilities, unique loci, as well as GPS access to reach historical locus locations. If one district in Lampung is clicked, the focus of the historical locus will be concentrated in that district. Users can view historical information in the district enough through their respective androids. The use of android-based applications to make it easier to know the local history of Lampung.
The DIGITAL MAP OF LAMPUS HISTORY LOCUS activities are expected to have the following benefits: bringing people closer to history through information about historical loci in Lampung, increasing awareness and understanding of the importance of Lampung's local history based on visited loci, introducing historical locus through android-based digital maps , and increasing awareness to the younger generation that many historical treasures in Lampung must be appreciated and reinterpreted.
