The Association's Quality Assurance Committee, together with all chapter authors secured an audit in accordance with evidence-based medicine. The Norwegian Medical Association has provided quality products.

The supervisors are prepared by and for gynecologists / practitioners working in obstetrics but will be relevant also for midwives and general practitioners and can be used both as a reference when you have a concrete point of care issue but also as a basis for internal training and the preparation of locally adapted routines.

The supervisors are indicative ie it can be compared by the patient or locally in the branch which means that you do not follow these guidelines. If so, it is good practice to document the department's own routines why these possibly. Is different and justify the patient that you choose another treatment.
