An average home today has more technology than NASA had in the 70s, and so much can, and does go wrong on a regular basis. The computers and laptops you have, the tablets, the smart phones, smart TVs, smart thermostats, smart speakers, smart security cameras, and smart light bulbs are all so smart, but alas, not so safe. Hackers realized that the easiest way into your connected home is through these devices and your WiFi network – because so little has been invested in keeping them truly secure.

That’s why we built Lenovo Connected Home Security.

What Is Connected Home Security?

Unsafe devices and networks can introduce malware, lead to identity theft, and leak private and financial information. Enable this feature to reduce the risk of having your device, and your home network exposed to attackers.

Here’s how it works:

One-year subscription is available for purchase. Once you activate your account Connected Home Security will ensures your device has not been compromised, that the networks you are connect to are safe and that other devices connected to your home network are safe.

Key Features

Device Safety: Connected Home Security verifies that security best practices are being followed on your device and alerts you if any potential risks are discovered. A compromised device can lead to malware and ransomware infestation, data theft (Files, financials, pictures, etc.) and identity theft.

Home Network safety: As more and more smart devices make it into your home – how much do you really know about how secure they are? How can you make sure unauthorized devices are not connecting to your network, and introducing a new vulnerability? With Connected Home Security you will always be in control over the devices that are connecting to your home network, ensuring that your private data isn’t leaked, and that the network is not compromised.

Connected Home Security will always respect your privacy and does not focus on what activities you’re performing, or which accounts you’re accessing. The software’s only concern is how the network and devices are handling the data transfer process — and not what type of data is being transferred.

When Should You Use Connected Home Security?

Think of Connected Home Security as your digital smoke detector. Just as you wish to keep your smoke detector’s batteries fresh, and the smoke detector on at all times, Connected Home Security needs to be on all the time to truly protect you and your family against hackers.
Hackers use “bots” to continuously attempt to compromise networks and devices. The scary part is that they can do this from the safety of their remote location which could be many time zones away.

With Lenovo Connected Home Security enabled you’ll get a warning any time we detect suspicious behaviors by one of your devices, or if we detect an attempt to compromise your home network. Just like an alarm system, we let you know if a virtual intruder is attacking and guide you through what needs to be done to stop the attack.
