A CO-CREATED FOOD SCAN APPLICATION TOGETHER

"The Consumers' App" is one of the tools of the "Consumer and Citizen" system, created with the aim of taking back control of our food and advancing companies towards more sustainable and more responsible consumption 🌎

THE OBJECTIVE: FIND THE PRODUCTS THAT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS

This new consumer aid application makes it possible to quickly identify the products that best meet everyone's expectations in terms of quality, fairness, nutrition and even environmental and social impact.

👉 The first step is to complete my profile by indicating the level of importance given to 7 criteria when I do my shopping: quality, nutrition, price, environment, origin, ethics, opinion of the community. I can also report the ingredients that I do not consume or that are contrary to my diet.

🔍 Then, by scanning an article, I obtain a percentage of compatibility with my reported personal expectations, as well as an in-depth decryption of the composition of the products 🔍 Products which contain prohibited ingredients are directly indicated as incompatible.

👍 Alternatives are also offered, in the case where products from the same family would better meet my expectations, with a better compatibility percentage for me!

A DETAILED AND COMPLETE ANALYSIS OF THE PRODUCTS

"The Consos App" is equipped with an exclusive database and calculation algorithm, where each product benefits from a personalized study of information, to be as precise as possible about what we have on our plate 🤗

For this, the data entry team buys the products or uses photos sent via the application to extract as much information as possible: list of ingredients, nutritional values, barcode, price, weight, recyclability of the product. packaging, labels ... everything goes!

This information is supplemented by an important research and analysis work on companies, manufacturers, specifications of labels and mentions, the origin of products, the quantity of each ingredient… or the maximum of information for better understand our consumption and facilitate our food choices!

CO-CONSTRUCTION AS A FOUNDING PRINCIPLE

The application is jointly designed in order to better understand the products we buy and to express our expectations to the companies that manufacture them. Each advance is decided collectively, by regularly organizing online votes, open questions, and also by organizing co-construction workshops for the biggest stages of progress such as the arrival of a new feature or to enrich the base. data 😊

The application is constantly evolving and improving, in contact with our expectations, us, the consumers. New features are already in preparation to learn more about the products and better understand everything that impacts the purchase of a product in store.
