Instruction on how to install Structural Engineer 2d on Windows 10 Windows 11 PC & Laptop
In this post, I am going to show you how to install Structural Engineer 2d on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...
Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.
[Note] You can also download older versions of this app on bottom of this page.
Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.
If this doesn't work on your PC, or you cannot install, comment here and we will help you!
Step By Step Guide To Install Structural Engineer 2d using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
- Once installed, click "Structural Engineer 2d" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D
[Note 1] For better performance and compatibility, choose BlueStacks 5 Nougat 64-bit read more
[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

Structural Engineer 2d
Welcome to the definitive structural calculator for Android: solve plane frame analysis using the Stiffness Method that provide an exact and fast solution to the problems designers face. The information saved in the generated files, within the “Reports - StructuralAnalysis2d” folder, located in the internal storage of your device:
- .txt
- .jpg
We offer a professional input for each cross section, node, element and load that´s presented. This allows you to customize the location of each structural member, which gives our users greater versatility, to model situations that occur in real life, every day. Once the app performs the analysis, it prints the results on screen (reactions and displacements in each node), so that the user can verify them.
In the free version the user can create up to nine nodes and has the option of watching a promotional video (to keep the app free) when the analysis run. If it does, the app print a report in .txt format with the following information: data of the cross-sections created, element data, structure data (such as the total stiffness matrix), data of the applied loads (for analyze), known loads (Qk), known deflections (Dk). Finally the results, which includes the vector (Du) that contains the unknown displacements in the structure. Then, the equation (Qu = k21 * Du) is applied, which is solved for (Qu), the vector of the reactions in the nodes. These reactions overlap with equivalent applied loads, to get final loads, for design purposes.
Then print the internal loads in elements. The result of the final load applied to the element, overlap with perfect embedment condition, defined by the load condition applied on element. This results are calculated for each element of the plane frame, so you do the structural design!!!
The whole procedure is based and tested with the problems of chapter 16 (Analysis of plane frames using the stiffness method) of the eighth edition of structural analysis book by R. C. Hibbeler.
How to use:
1. Select the units to work.
2. Create the necessary cross sections to model your structure, according to the material and the shape of the elements.
3. Create the nodes that make up your structure: assign XY coordinates and tell the app if it is support or not. If it is support, it is fixed (3 reactions: xyz) or pinned (2 reactions: xy).
To run the app you need to have at least three nodes and two elements created. If you want to analyze a single beam, you can create an intermediate node and divide the element in two.
4. Create the elements that make up the plane frame, assigning start (N) and end (F) node, as well as the corresponding cross section.
5. Model the load condition to which your structure is subjected, creating one load at a time. You must assign which element is being applied, the type of load (punctual, distributed, triangular or moments), enter the magnitude and distance "A" measured from node N, to the point of application of the load, as shown in the buttons.
6. Press the red button to run the analysis and see its results.
