Many times we pass by an animal on the street, we are in doubt if it is lost or not and, due to the lack of a practical means of researching and publishing lost animals, we end up missing an opportunity to reintegrate it to his family, who walks with him. he searches, sometimes for days and, in some sad cases, for years.

Well, PETFIND was created precisely to help in this search. It was created for people who love their pets, for people who not only understand but also share the distress of people who have their friend lost.

The process of informing lost animals currently occurs, in most cases, via social media groups or through printed publications in Pet Shops. Similarly, communicating the identification of a potentially lost animal is also difficult. PETFIND improves these processes, unifying, accelerating and improving, through a simple and unique platform.

The idea of ​​developing the app came from a couple who have always been involved with the issue of animal welfare. From the beginning, the app's design had the simple objective of helping people find their lost animal.

The general concept of PETFIND is to serve as a centralized database, with photos, videos and descriptions of the animals, lost, allowing:

The announcement of an animal lost by its guardian (s);
The announcement of an animal found by an application user;
The verification, by the user, if an animal he found has already been reported as lost in the area where the user is located (the search radius can be filtered).

PETFIND allows a user to contact another user if he has found an animal similar to that of an advertisement. For example, if you are a user of the app and found an animal on the street that looks lost, you can photograph or make a short video of the animal, open the app and check the georeferenced list of lost animals (the initial list that appears on your screen) contains an animal similar to the one you found;

If you find a similar animal on the list, click on the ad to see details about the animal. If you think this animal is what you found, click on the "I think I found it" button at the end of the information and follow the instructions to contact the possible tutor. You can add the photos and videos you took.

If you find an animal and it is not in the list of animals, click on the “+” button in the lower right corner of the screen, then on “I found an animal” and follow the instructions.
If you lost your pet, open the app, click on the “+” button in the lower right corner of the screen, click on “I lost an animal” and follow the instructions.
