Aigiri Nandini Nanditha Medhini' is a very popular devotional Durga Devi Stotram. Mahishasur Mardini is an incarnation of Goddess Durga which was created to kill the demon Mahishasur. 'Aigiri Nandini Stotram' is addressed to Goddess Mahishasur Mardini. Mahishasur Mardini is the fierce form of Goddess Durga where she is depicted with 10 arms, riding on a lion, and carrying weapons.

Ayigiri Nandini Stotram also known as Mahishasura Mardhini stotram.
These Durga devotional songs are famous as Navaratri songs and Dasara Songs and Dussehra Festival Songs.

Mahishasura Mardini stotram is based on Devi mahatmyam in which Devi takes the forms of Durga in Chandika Form to slay Mahishasura. Aigiri Nandini Stotram is addressed to Goddess Mahishasur Mardini. Aigiri Nandhini's songs are there for providing positive and empowering content to the mind.

Mahishasura Mardini Stotram is a very popular devotional stotra of Goddess Durga written by Guru Adi Sankaracharya (Sri Sri Sri Shankara Bhagavatpadacharya). This devotional verse is addressed to Goddess Mahisasura Mardini, the Goddess who killed Demon Mahishasura.

Mahishasura ruined the life of humans and conquered Earth (Prithvi Lokam) as well as Deva Loka (Swarga Lokam) by attacking Lord Indra, the King of Devas. All Gods and Goddess approached Lord Vishnu for a solution. Thus the powers of Trimurtis - the Trinity of Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahadeva - joined together for the creation of Goddess Durga.
