"Death is nothing more than the abandonment of the physical body, in the same way that the butterfly leaves its cocoon of silk"
By nature, man reacts by approaching what he produces pleasure and moving away from what produces displeasure. And this, which is normally healthy in itself, is not healthy in the face of death or loss: covering up the pain, pretending or filling the hours of activities to not think and not feel "only leads to encapsulation and mourning.

We want to give voice to that reality of which nobody speaks: death, the only certainty of life, the reverse of the coin. We want to teach you how to deal with the pain of a loved one's death or going through loss. The mourning process goes from the outside to the inside, from silence to speech, from darkness to light.

There is a more general perception that death is not well regarded in society, it hides, it is medicalized, and it is transformed into a technical process, seeking in that technification a defense, a buffer of pain and reality. Death is the most absolute of all certainties, and although it is avoided, the familiar, the sick, the suffering still needs help, accompaniment and understanding.

Grief is a social process and as such the fact of feeling support, being able to verbalize and share the experience will be fundamental to its resolution. However, today's society can exert its influence in the opposite direction, that is, forcing the bereaved to be well right away, to distract themselves and avoid contact with pain or tears, causing the process to be inhibited or complicated.

Death is a reality that, sooner or later, humans will face, although in our society it is taboo. Millions of reasons exist to get there; diseases, accidents, old age, among others.

It is normal to wonder how one will live the final stage of his life. Before, in the face of an incurable disease, adequate care was not provided, which was incorrect because the dignity of a human being is never lost, and even more, he must try to maintain himself in the last days of his life.

Not only is medical care (symptom control) necessary, but communication, accompaniment and empathy are fundamental parts of patient care in the final phase of life.

In summary, the correct elaboration of mourning is essential for good physical and mental health of the person.

GOALS:

Help the person to accept the reality of the loss.
Help build the emotions and pain that loss involves.
Help the bereaved to adapt to the world and its current reality.
Help to relocate psycho-emotionally.
