The Ramayana is one of the oldest legends in the Sanskrit language by the sage Valmiki. It is thought to have been composed between the 5th century BC and the 2nd century AD. This is one of the important texts of Hinduism. The Ramayana has been composed in many Indian languages and other languages, embracing the Ramayana of the original text, Valmiki. Gambar wrote this in Tamil. This is known as the Kampa Ramayana.

The name Ramayana is a combination of the words Rama and Ayanam. The word ion is the meaning of travel in the Sanskrit. Thus, Ramayana refers to the journey of Rama.

The Ramayana has 24,000 songs. These are divided into a total of seven stems. These explain the birth of Rama from birth to death. They are:

The Balcony: Part of the story about the birth, education and marriage of Rama and his siblings.
Ayodhya Condom: Part of the story from the time that Raman was married to Sita and lived in Ayodhya as a prince.
Aranya Condom: When Raman went to the forest and lived there.
Kishkinta Condom: Raman's life in the Varanasi country while searching for the kidnapped Sita.
Sundara Condom: The story of Manuman's visit to Sri Lanka in search of Sita and seeing Sita there.
War Condom: A piece of fiction covering the battle between Rama and Ravana.
Uttarakhand: Part of the story of Raman's return to Ayodhya and the return of King Sita to the wild.
There is some uncertainty as to whether the first and last stanza found in this Ramayana was written by Valmiki. This is due to the fact that the language of the two regions differs from the rest of the world and the inconsistencies in their contents. However, many believe that these stanzas were written by Valmiki.
