In this post, I am going to show you how to install GoCheck Vision at Home on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. GoCheck Vision at Home is a mobile application that allows patients to conduct a vision test from the comfort of their home under their physician’s guidance. The test is designed for children old enough to comprehend and read letters, typically beginning around age 5. The app utilizes the best-in-class method of testing that is used by ophthalmologists in their clinics. The test is easy to perform and takes less than 5 minutes.

Following download, there is an instructional video. The app then guides the user step-by-step through the set up procedure. Once the test setup is complete, the exam begins. Checking one eye at a time, from a 10 foot distance, the patient is asked to identify the letters from the top of the screen to the bottom. The test administrator then taps the screen accordingly to record the results and advance to the next screen. The same test is then completed for the second eye. Once the exam is complete, the results are automatically shared with your pediatrician. The doctor will then review the results with you during your next scheduled visit.

This is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a comprehensive eye exam.
