Go Knots 3D Guide – Untangle Every Knot With These Hints, Tips and Tricks

Go Knots 3D is a game about untangling ropes. It manages to be both complex and simple at the same time – you’re going to know what you need to do from the moment you pick up the game, but getting it done is often a pretty big ask.

Don’t worry if you’re getting stuck, because we’re here to help. We’ve put some work into the game and discovered a bunch of hints, tips and tricks that should help you out of any sticky situations that you find yourself in.

If you’ve got your own helpful suggestions then feel free to add them in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Before we get there though, let’s get on with our guide.

You Can’t Stack
One of the most important things to note is that you can’t roll up a rope if there’s another rope attached to the peg. You need to make sure there’s no other rope there, otherwise you’re just going to be knotting up your ropes further.

You can stack to move your ropes into better positions, but they won’t get cleared from the board. This is the core part of the game, so understanding it will ensure that you’re making the most of the experience.

Over Under
When you’ve got two ropes, you need to clear the one on top first, otherwise you’re just going to end up tangling things together again. If there’s a rope clear on the top of the pile, then you should find a way to get rid of it as soon as possible.

The more ropes you clear, the more space you’ve got to clear ropes. Make sure you’re aware of the opportunities that are open to you, and make the most of them when they pop up.

Watch Your Tangles
If you’re not careful it’s easy to make your knots even worse than they were when you started. Take your time and think about which direction you need to move the ropes in to untangle them.

If a move makes things worse, then don’t be afraid to reverse it and start over. If things get too bad there’s no shame in taking the easy way out – look at the right of the screen and you’ll see an option to watch a video to skip to the next level.

Choose Your Rope
The coins you get from playing can be spent on new ropes. Some of these are a lot easier to work with than others, simply because they’re a bit clearer to see. When you’ve got 1000 coins, you should definitely spend them on getting new twine.

Experiment with what you unlock and see what works best for you. Remember you’re going to be looking at the rope for a long time, so the better you can see it, the better you’re going to do.
