Neşet Ertaş, (1938, Çiçekdağı, Kırşehir - 25 September 2012, İzmir), Turkish bard. It is the last major representative of the tradition of abdominals. It is also known as "Steppen Thesis".
Childhood

Her father is the master of saz, Muharrem Ertaş, and her mother is Döne. After his mother's death, they settled in the village with his father and siblings and spent his childhood in this village.

Ertaş learned to play violin and then baglama in his primary school years. Together with his father, Muharrem Ertaş, he began to sing with his voice and sing folk songs at the weddings of the region. Ertaş says that the only person he is affected is his father, Muharrem Ertaş. He expresses this in his own words as follows; "My father and I are the people of the same spirit."

Art life

Neşet Ertaş came to Istanbul at the end of 1957 and released his first record in Şen Alarm Plak with a song belonging to his father Muharrem Ertaş under the name "Why Garip Garip Ötersin Bülbül". This record, which is very popular with the public, is followed by other records, tapes and folk concerts. Later, Neşet Ertaş moved to Ankara. He goes to Germany at the invitation of his brother because of his health problems. The artist, who stayed in Germany for a long time due to his children's education and artistic works, returned to his stage life with his concert in Istanbul in 2000.
The title of 'state art' presented to him during Demirel; "At that time, Süleyman Demirel was the President. State art was offered to me. I did not accept the offer by saying," We are all artists of this state, and the title of a state artist is discrimination to me. " I did not receive a penny, I accepted the superior service award by only the Turkish Grand National Assembly. He turned it down. The public supported this attitude and Neşet Ertaş became a living legend. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Convention, the scope of the national inventory of the Living Human Treasures of Turkey who live on the National Inventory of human treasures adopted Ertas, was awarded the honorary doctorate award by the ITU State Conservatory on April 25, 2011, the attitude of binding and songs are taught in conservatories.
He died at the advanced stage of the hospital where he was treated in Izmir on September 25, 2012 due to prostate cancer.
