Ahmed Mazen Al Shugairi (July 19, 1973, Jeddah) is a Saudi journalist and well-known presenter and host of the Khawatir TV series and former host of the Yalla Shabab program. He devotes his time to helping young people mature in their faith, in their work, in their knowledge of the world, and in their role in making it a better place. Al-Shugairi became famous in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world after a series of Khawatir program that achieved great success due to the simplicity of its style and its treatment of youth and nation issues that always began with its saying: « I am neither a scholar nor a mufti nor a jurist, but a seeker of knowledge. ”
After completing his secondary education in Al-Manarat Schools in Jeddah, he traveled to the United States of America to complete his university studies there and received a Bachelor of Systems Management and an MBA from the University of California, after which he returned to Saudi Arabia to complete his business. Beginning of Al-Shukairy in the media field dates back to 2002 M through the television program Yalla Shabab, which he participated in presenting with a number of young men and addressed youth issues in a new way that does not depend on rhetoric as much as it depends on a simple language that attracts this category of the public. MBC screen and his idea was to accompany a group of young men to the American preacher Hamza Yusuf in various locations, including the United States.
Then came the experience of Al-Shukairy’s most prominent in television presentation through the “Khawatir” program, which is a continuation of a project that he started by writing a set of weekly articles in the Saudi city newspaper, entitled “Young Khairat”. The idea of the program was to present a specific youth issue in an episode that does not exceed five minutes in a closer form To the advice given to young men and women, which he had to provide alone due to the lack of time in the MBC schedule.
In addition to Al-Shukairi's adoption of awareness-raising projects on the ground with lectures and seminars at public events and universities, he adopted many young people interested in volunteering and writing and provided them with a place to exchange ideas and experiences and introduce themselves to people. It also supported the expenses of some foreign students in universities.
