The Centre for Local Business Development’s (Centre) Supplier Registration Portal (SRP) mobile app provides users with direct access to the latest business, procurement, contracting and employment opportunities in the offshore oil and gas sector and a wide variety of related industries in Guyana.

The SRP mobile app improves the ease of doing business, helps effectively manage supplier and buyer relations, optimizes information flow to users through customized procurement and contracting alerts, and promotes business dialogue.

It is open access, free-of-charge and available to anyone who registers and has internet connectivity with a smart phone or tablet.

Because the offshore oil and gas industry is new to Guyana and as part of the Centre’s mission to support Guyanese firms to better understand and access business opportunities in the sector, the Centre created the SRP mobile app to enhance and provide more rapid access to its Supplier Registration Portal.

The SRP mobile app is part of a growing suite of informational platforms including the Centre’s website, www.centreguyana.com, as well as the Centre's Facebook page and LinkedIn business profile providing trusted, up-to-date information on the offshore oil and gas industry as well as business and training opportunities in Guyana.

The Centre is Guyana’s premier source for oil and gas business and industry information, policy advocacy, and professional networking. Since 2017 it has been meeting the growing demands of Guyanese businesses by offering training, mentoring for growth and procurement linkages.

Through initiatives like the SRP mobile app, the Centre continues to broaden its reach and services to spur local competitiveness and drive inclusive economic growth. Its measured approach ensures Guyanese businesses benefit hand-in-hand from offshore oil and gas opportunities while maximizing skills transfer and technology development.

The Centre's SRP mobile app was developed by the BrainStreet Group, a Guyanese ICT services firm based in Georgetown. BrainStreet previously developed the Centre's Supplier Registration Portal.
