Jamal Mirdad (born in Kudus, Central Java, May 7, 1960) is an Indonesian singer and film and television actor. He has received an award as Best Male Actor, Festival Film Indonesia (1992) in the films Ramadan and Ramona. His singing talent was discovered by songwriter A. Riyanto when Jamal served the family, in the 1980s.
Early in his career, he mostly sang songs composed by A. Riyanto. He is currently a member of the Indonesian Parliament from the Greater Indonesia Movement Party from the Electoral District of Central Java I for the 2014-2019 period.
Jamal Mirdad was once reunited with his wife, Lydia Kandou, when they both acted in the film Ramadan and Ramona (1992).
