Pickleball Scorer updates:

1. If the watch/wearable device has a speaker, there is a voice announcement of the score upon pressing either the "Opponent" or "You" button. The sounds can be toggled on or off by long pressing "Opponent". To repeat the voice announcement of the current score, touch the score display .

2. The side where the next serve originates is now highlighted in red.

3. The info "i" icon now displays "wins-losses", "my-tot faults", "play-time", and "session-time"; based on sequential touches of the "i" icon. Play time is now the actual time of play, excluding the time between games. Session time is the total elapsed time since starting the app. A long touch of the "i" icon always displays the time of day.

4. The app has been updated to recent versions of Android software. This updated app is only available to watches/wearable Wear OS devices that can access the Google Play Store directly without going through a mobile phone.

Pickleball Scorer is a wearable (Android Wear OS watch) app for keeping score in a Pickleball game.

The first question the app displays is "Who serves?" Just touch "You" (if you are serving first) or "Opponent" (if your opponent is serving first). The device will vibrate, and display the starting score and who’s serving. (Long touch "Opponent" at any time to toggle on-off voice announcements).

Once a rally is completed, just touch "You" or "Opponent" to indicate who won the rally (or swipe up or swipe down, respectively). The device vibrates (and announces score if toggled on) & displays the score. The score is displayed just as a server would declare it before each serve. The app handles the rest!

The app displays where the next serve is coming from (if you need this reminder) by positioning a small paddle and ball icon on the display of the pickleball court (and turns the server quadrant red).

If you touch the wrong button for who won the last rally, or who serves, you can back out the last entry and re-enter. Just hit the red curved back arrow.

Long touch the pickleball info "i" icon to momentarily display the time of day.

Touch the pickleball info "i" icon to momentarily display four successive screens: 1. your wins and losses since starting the app; 2. the number of my faults, the total faults for your team, and the percentage of "my faults"; 3. the cumulative time of play since starting the app; and 4. the time the app has been running (h:mm:ss) and the battery charge percent for your watch.

To immediately start a new game and display "Who serves?", long touch the score. (Short) Touch the score for announcement of the current score at any time (when the voice announcement is toggled on).

Touch the pickleball "my fault" icon to record that the opponents won the rally, but that the fault was your fault, not your partner's. Touch the my fault icon at the "Who serves?" question to reset the my faults count and the total faults count to zero. Long touch the icon at the "Who serves?" question to reset both the my faults/total faults count and the wins-losses count to zero.

At the end of the game, the app will momentarily display the winning score and side, and then it will ask for who serves the next game. This is a good time to long touch the pickleball info "i" icon to display "my faults" and total faults for your side, and more.

Games can be played to 11, 9 or 15 points. Rally scoring to 15 or 21 is also available. You must win by 2. Above the score display (to the right) is a Pickleball paddle icon with the number 11 on it. Touch it to change it to 9. Touch it repeatedly to change it to 15, or rally scoring to 15 or 21.

The Pickleball Scorer app is developed as a hobby by a novice apps developer and pickleball player. To display the version of the app, long touch "You". Send questions or suggestions to dstashadmin@gmail.com. Rats, gotta go--playing pickleball....
