Mustafa Mahmoud

(December 27, 1921 - October 31, 2009), Egyptian philosopher, physician, and writer. He is Mustafa Kamal Mahmoud Hussein Al Mahfouz, one of the nobles, and his lineage goes back to Ali Zain Al Abidin. His father died in 1939 after years of paralysis. He studied medicine and graduated in 1953 and majored in chest diseases, but he devoted himself to writing and research in 1960. He married in 1961 and the marriage ended in divorce in 1973. He married again in 1983 to Mrs. Zainab Hamdy, and this marriage also ended in divorce in 1987.

He has authored 89 books, including scientific, religious, philosophical, social and political books, in addition to tales, plays and travel stories, and his style is characterized by attractiveness, depth and simplicity. Indeed .. on Monday 7/7/2008 the special issue of (Al-Jazeera Al-Thaqafia) was published and it was from cover to cover on the authority of Mustafa Mahmoud. The file included writings of thirty Arab intellectuals who are fans of Mustafa Mahmoud, the most prominent of whom are: Dr. Ghazi Al-Qusaibi, Dr. Zaghloul Al-Najjar, Dr. Ibrahim Awad, Dr. Sayyar al-Jamil ... and other writers, thinkers and academics, in addition to the poet Faisal Akram, who prepared the entire file and presented it exceptionally. The special issue also included special pictures and a word in the handwriting of Mustafa Mahmoud and others in the handwriting of his daughter Amal.

His daughter wrote in it the words of his gentle image of what he really is (the value of a person is what he adds to life between his birth and death) that word represents his principle and his human journey, and what is meant here is faithfulness, not literary, scientific and material glory, but human giving to the face of God Almighty and everything that benefits people .. that is.
