NITC Guest House Booking on Windows Pc

Guest House Booking is an android based application and can be run on android devices.
The app needs to be installed in phones which have android os 6 or higher. The devices must be connected to the internet to get the highest functionality of the application.
The application will serve as a fair platform for every entity of institute to use the fine quality Guesthouse of the institute which seemed to be a very tough job in the past because it was more of a manual process.
The goal of developing this app is to get rid of manual booking and making resources available on the fingertip of users.
The app uses the user’s institutional email and profile details like user name and password for profile details. This application allows registration through institutional(NITC) emails only.
The application has different login scopes for users and admins.
The application have a separate database for admin credentials which can only be modified by the developers of the application.
The application categorises users into 5 categories - Student, SAC member, Staff, Registrar and Director of NITC. The priority of their booking requests will be respectively where a student will have the lowest priority and the director and registrar will have the highest priority.
Other than students, all the other types of users need to be verified by admin manually to prevent any kind of fraud. Only after verification, the accounts will be activated for using further services of the application.
The bookings made by the director and registrar will be confirmed immediately, because of the highest priority. Other users might have to wait for a booking confirmation which will be received by the user through his/her registered email.
Usually, the confirmation mails will be sent to the user one day before the booking date. In case of the same booking date and same priority, the earliest booking time will be considered as the tiebreaker.
The app is dependent on the device for several permissions including network permission, external storage permission.
The application Guest House shows the location of NITC Guesthouse, for which, the app uses google map API, which requires google play services on device version of 9 or higher.
The application Guest House Booking needs external storage permission to get access to the file system of device for saving bills permanently in the form of PDFs.
The application Guest House Booking uses network-provided time. Hence, the device should be provided network provided time which can be ensured by the user by enabling time settings of the device. In case of any inconvenience feel free to contact us on softwareprojectsnitc@gmail.com.
