Interaction: Compendium Mobile is primarily a chat-bot with a few added extras, this means that you can be holding conversations with Compendium in next to no time at all. Please remember that to begin with Compendium has very basic vocabulary but this will expand the more you talk with it. To start talking to Compendium all you need to do is press the microphone icon and speak when prompted. The idea behind Compendium is simple, if you say something it doesn’t quite understand (i.e. doesn’t have a match for your statement in its database) then Compendium will repeat your statement back to you encouraging you to answer. This way it is able to gauge a more accurate response should something similar be mentioned in future conversations. When Compendium is requesting a suitable response to a statement, the microphone icon will turn red. Press the red microphone icon to record your response. . Commands: Predict Ask Compendium to make a prediction and one will be made from a number of random elements. Some make sense, some don’t and some may even come true. Joke Asking Compendium to tell you a joke will result in you being subject to some of the corniest jokes around. Fact If you ask to hear a fact, Compendium will select an interesting one at random. Story By asking Compendium to tell you a story, a random short story usually only a sentence or two in length will be read back to you. Radio Compendium is able to select a random radio station from a list and stream it via your device. "Radio on" is the command to start the radio and "Radio off" is the command to turn it off. Please be careful when out and about using this option as the radio streaming will eat into your data allowance. Question Start your query with the word “Search”, for example “Search, what is the weather going to be like for New York?” and Compendium will search the web for the answer. Issuing the command “Close window” will close the web search. Insult If you ask Compendium to insult you then a suitable insult will be generated at random and read back to you. Please remember it’s just a bit of fun.
