Pashushala.com is an online marketplace to buy or sell livestock: Cow, Buffalo, Goat, Sheep, Horses, etc. and related products/services like insurance, veterinary service, feed-fodder etc. Established to strengthen the country's Livestock Economic, Pashushala.com team work closely with livestock owners, buyers, and farmers to ensure livestock quality, productivity, health, and safety.
Livestock is an integral part of the Indian economic, cultural and social setup. But the livestock market and ecosystem in India is highly unorganized and distributed. Purchase is mostly made through traditional channels like fairs, word of mouth, brokers, etc. There exist a vast information disparity and price arbitrage resulting in uneven distribution of superior breeds – in consequence, yield to a livestock owner varies vastly. Access to quality and affordable livestock services is affected by many factors, including lack of quality service providers, physical distances, price parity, information, and socio-cultural barriers. Pashushala’s primary goal is to streamline and make efficient the ancient practice of animal husbandry by using a digital interface for the initial process of selection and purchase. This marketplace for cattle has been developed and implemented to bring various stakeholders together in a managed environment that instills trust, promotes animal safety, wellbeing and propagates best practices.
A perfect balance between the online and offline services, the platform leverages the Internet and employs advanced technology to deliver value, most conveniently, to all the livestock economy stakeholders. It is an effort to bridge the gaps that exist in the livestock market. The platform is a one-stop solution for livestock and related products/services that unlock the value and income-generating potential from livestock and help grow the contribution of livestock in the lives of individuals, entrepreneurs, and the nation as a whole.
