It is a public two wheeler taxi and rental service located at Housing Colony 5th mile Tadong Gangtok. It was launched on 9th Dec. 2018 with first 100 free rides, initiated by Nepali Sanskriti Sangrakshan Sangh (NSSS) under the guidance of Dhawal Dahal and team. This service runs to and fro between Ranipool - Gangtok and surrounding areas such as Vajra, HRDD office, Development Area, Secretariat, District Court during the peak traffic hours. The main objective is to help the local people save time and beat the traffic related problems in their day-to-day commute.

Why Bolt Ride?
• Due to the unavailability of local t**** during peak tourist season and long hours of traffic the Bolt-Ride service has come to play.
• A ride in Bolt-Ride takes about 30 minutes from Ranipool to Gangtok, 20 minutes from 5th mile to Gangtok.

How does it work?
• Service runs through online booking system majorly through Whatsapp.
• For bookings send a Whatsapp at 7797091368 mentioning your pickup and drop location.
• Our Pilot will reach your pick up point within minimum estimated time and drop you to your destination.
• Rental bookings can be done through our website : www.boltridesikkim.com

Bolt-Ride includes 5 Yamaha RayZ which are driven by Bolt-Pilots, while the commuters are labelled as Bolt-Riders. The scooties can be seen with the logo on the wind-shield and yellow number plates. Within these 8 months of experience our commuters (mainly local public) have been sending us photos and videos on social media platforms such as facebook and instagram. They have labelled Bolt-Ride a safe travel experience and most have been demanding further extension of the service. We are thankful to Motor-Vehicle Department for their quick response towards our project to meet the public demand. We are seeking Government support for further extension of our service in the future.
