Prof. Dr. KH. Said Aqil Siroj, M.A. or commonly known as Said Aqil Siroj (born in Pondok Pesantren Kempek, Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia, July 3rd, 1953, age 64 years) is the Chairman (Tanfidziyah) Nahdlatul 'Ulama period 2010-2020.

Said Aqil Siroj was elected Chairman of the Board of Nahdlatul 'Ulama (NU) 2010-2015 in the 32nd congress of Nahdlatul' Ulama (NU) in Hajj Sudiang, Makassar, South Sulawesi. Said ahead with the acquisition of 294 voices from rival Slamet Effendi Yusuf gets 201 voice. Previously, KH Sahal Mahfudz, was elected as Rais Aam NU. Said Aqil Siradj General Chairman of Nahdlatul 'Ulama (NU) 2010-2015. Said Aqil Siraj and Slamet maju to the second round after receiving each 178 votes and 158 votes. Meanwhile, Sholahuddin Wahid (Gus Solah) only get 83 votes, Ahmad Bagja (34), Ulil Absar Abdala (22), Ali Maschan Moesa (8), Abdul Aziz (7), Masdar Farid Mas'udi (6). They fail to obtain the number 99 sounds of muktamirin so could not follow the second round.

All 33 at NU in Jombang, Said Aqil Siroj re-elected as Chairman of the NU for the second period (2015-2020). Said Aqil Siroj win by collecting 287 muktamirin sound of 412 voices. Other candidates As'ad Said Ali won 107 votes, and 10 votes Salahudin Wahid. Said Aqil Siroj back will not promise to consistently use the NU for political purposes. Said said that the agenda of his priorities are education, health and economy.

Among the Nahdlatul Ulama, Said Aqil Siroj not new. His father, Aqil Siroj Kempek is a teacher of Islam in Cirebon and included in the network of scholars in residency Cirebon, like Benda Kerep, Buntet, Gedongan and Babakan.
