Chronicle is a fiction (fiction) based on historical events, where the writing is usually in the form of macapat (song / poem / poem). One very famous chronicle is the Javanese chronicle, where this chronicle is never separated in any study of things that happened in the land of Java.

Despite the conditions with historical events, their fictional nature places the chronicle as a historical-imaginative reference. Babad has a religio-magical nature and is dense with imagination. Historians often understand babad as writing or a historical source in subjective tendencies. Historians who reject the role of the chronicle as a source of history have argued that the chronicle is vulnerable to bias in describing historical facts. Chronicles tend to be a mixture of facts and mythology. The accommodating historians actually applied certain methods and methodologies to make the chronicle a source of qualified information rather than colonial sources.
Apart from the pros and cons, the chronicle of Tanah Jawi is a big trail in reading (history) of Java, one of which is the history of the Sultanate of Demak Bintoro. In one of the chapters in the chronicle of the Javanese land, a brief history of the establishment of the Sultanate of Demak, how it traveled, and how the first Islamic kingdom in Java ended.
