CRISPR/Cas, the revolutionary genome editing technology has evolved to work wonders in the world of science toady. This genome editing tool belongs to RNA guided engineered nucleases (RGENs), which is adapted from natural defence mechanisms of single-cell microorganisms against invading phages or plasmids. It is engineered into various variants and orthologues to make genome editing much simpler, faster, cheaper and more precise than previous existing methods. Using this molecular scissor, researchers can precisely and efficiently insert, remove or change specific sequences in various cultured cells, microorganisms and animals. Among many available CRISPR systems, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology is more widely used and has been developed for broad applicability in biomedical research, study of developmental biology, drug development, diagnostics, animal models, producing disease free animals, cancer cure, gene therapy and therapeutics. This app aims to provide wide scale information on CRISPR, its evolutionary history, its different class and functionality
