K4 Keyboard on Windows Pc

K4 Keyboard works with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above.
Using K4 Keyboard visually challenged can type fast in all languages, Emojis and all symbols.
K4 Keyboard has only 4 keys, arranged as a 2 by 2 grid in the lower half of the touch screen. Each key is a square of side with more than an inch, in a 5 to 6 inch screen. So error in touching the required key is almost nil. Each digit, letter, normally used symbols and commands are given specific swipes. These swipes trace one or more edges of a small square of about half an inch.
When you download K4 Keyboard, both, an app and an IME, will be loaded. Run the app to understand how the keyboard works. When you decide to subscribe, go to keyboard settings. From there subscribe. After subscribing, activate the IME. IME works only after subscription.
When you run K4 Keyboard app for the first time, you will be automatically taken to the help menu. All the information needed to run this software is in that. In this keyboard, always a swipe of about half an inch within key 1 in the upwards direction takes you to the help menu. Remember. 1, up for help.
Many new methods have been introduced here to speed up typing.
Full words, phrases, or any string can be got in just one swipe!
A word in the built-in or user dictionaries can be got by swipes or by taps or by a combination of both. This hybrid method combining taps and swipes reduces the options, and input time.
A new method of inserting a gap in the middle of a long word speeds up typing.
Fixed abbreviations can get frequently used strings quickly.
A new method called Dynamic Abbreviation, can select phrases, when only first one or few letters from some of the words of the phrases are given. This helps in quick typing of a large number of phrases, idioms, proverbs, or any user defined list of strings. One need not remember any abbreviation. The abbreviation can be a different one each time.
Emojis, musical and higher mathematical symbols can be got easily by using their names with dynamic abbreviation. This is a powerful and easy way to input them.
An extended form of swipe is introduced here. With one swipe, one can input one full word. When combined with dynamic abbreviation, one swipe can give a full string.
In one swipe, we can change a number in digits to a number in words. Also whether lakhs and crores or millions and billions has to be used can be specified. With one swipe any string can be changed to superscript or subscript. This enables typing a formula quickly.
Spell check, search and replace, Unit conversion, Simple and scientific calculators are built in.
Any of the Unicode characters can be got directly, by giving its code point number.
One can edit a text, and format it. Size, boldness, colour etc. can be set. One can read the values for these properties of a text.
Different languages need different things to make typing easier. One solution does not fit all. K4 keyboard is designed with some variations for different languages. Also it is highly customizable.
Our aim is that a person conversant in one language should be able to use this software fully, without knowing any other language. Built in dictionaries are needed to make Spell check, hybrid and modified swipe to work. Idioms, phrases and proverbs are needed for modifed swipe. Names of emojis and symbols, interface stings and help, in that language is also needed. Currently different languages have these in different levels. We plan to provide the enhanced data, in due course, with the cooperation of native speakers.
Currently (October 2019) about 75 languages are available. More will be added in the future. Using DataK4.apk the language data can be downloaded. One can easily switch from one language to another.
This is an enabling and empowering technology, specially desined for dynamic surfaces.
