Tingklik is a traditional Balinese musical instrument made of bamboo in the form of blades and is played by hitting the bamboo blades with a paddle called a tingklik pelvis. Tingklik Gamelan consists of two instruments including Tingklik Polos and Tingklik Sangsih. One (truly) tingklik has eleven to twenty-five bamboo blades. The number of bamboo slats used depends on the type of scale used. Tingklik is played using two hands where the right hand plays kotekan (melody) and the left hand plays bun (rithm) and sometimes also uses the right hand as sangsih and the left hand as plain.
