ADD-111R is designed and engineered by the Lotus owner/driver!
Like the ADD-PRO, the ADD-111R provides various display modes, 0-60 mph test, trip summary (time elapsed, trip distance, max speed, max RPM, max throttle, best 0-60 mph time), and saved trip records.
As the ADD-111R is tailored to the Lotus Eiise/Exige SPEC, we are able to add the crucial GEAR information and create a special RACE mode (super focused on GEAR & RPM) for the enthusiastic Lotus drivers! Lotus drivers will easily understand how cool this mode presents! (My favorite mode when I hop in my Elise every time!)
Features:
- Turns your Android phone to an useful digital instrument panel showing your car's RPM, speed, throttle position, shifting indication, coolant temp, voltage in a colorful and easy to glance layout.
- Many modes are available - including easy, normal, sunlight for different road/driving needs. (swipe left or right to use different mode)
- Default red-line RPM is set to NA Elise's 8500. But you can easily configure the read-line RPM to match your super charged (or even turbo'd) Elise/Exige.
- You can of course, easily switching between metric (km/h) or imperial (mph) system so it works perfectly in your country.
- Lotus car is designed for twisty mountain road. But a 0-60mph (or 0-100km/h) test mode is just another fun toy if you wanna play around a bit.
- I personally find the trip timing function is quite useful to time a spirited Sunday morning drive. And it logs the max RPM, max speed...too.
- Lotus drivers know they need to warm up the car before any spirited drive. The ADD-111R marks REDLINE from 4K RPM when the coolant is less than 80C as a reminder.
Quick user guide :
1. Plug the Bluetooth ELM327 based OBD2 dongle into your car. (recommending the OBD2 dongle with power switch so you can turn it full off when not using it)
2. In your phone, go to Setting - Bluetooth: turn on Bluetooth, finding the OBD2 dongle and pairing it (entering 1234 or 0000 if you are asked for passcode)
3. Once the OBD2 is successfully paired, launch the ADD-111R and watch the cool opening welcome screen. Read and commit to the safety warning message.
4. The ADD-111R shall start showing the RPM, coolant temp, voltage, fuel...information of your car is a few seconds.
5. Touch the MPH to switch to imperial system (mph) or km/h to metric system for your local system.
6. Touch the SETUP to configure the max speed alert and red-line RPM to match your car. NOTE: for safety, the Setup is disabled if car is moving.
7. You can turn on (or off) the speed alert by simply touch the ALERT button.
8. You can reset the trip count by touch the RESET button. NOTE this count as resetting the trip info so the max. speed, max. RPM, and max throttle... will also be reset.
9. You can change modes by simply swipe to left of right.
10. NOTE: 0-60mph (0-100km/h) test mode can only activate when the engine is warmed up. And the car must be fully stopped to activate the test.
11. The trip summary mode comes with time keeping - you can use it to record lap time by touch SAVE button. You can stop the timing as concluding the trip and SAVE it as well. The best 0-60mph run will be also records here if it's available.
12. The trip records mode shows all the trip (or lap) information you had saved. You can scroll the records by swipe up / down. Touch the DELETE button to delete a record you don't need.
13. Touch the "?" for short help and email contact for supports and comments.
14. Touch OFF to exit the ADD-111R (Turn off the OBD2 or unplug it to save car's battery)
15.Your preference / setting used in last time will be remembered and applied automatically when you launch the ADD-111R next time (set it once and use it as a real tool everyday!)
