The Drone Surveyor app has been designed to be used by drone pilots that need to obtain high resolution aerial composites. It’s a cheap option, especially if the drone pilot already has the equipment. The Drone Surveyor app is a great app to have in any drone pilots’ arsenal.

What can you do with Drone Surveyor?
- You can draw a region on the map of where you'd like to scan. The drone with fly back and forwards with the camera facing the ground taking photos.
- You can customise the flight parameters. Useful if you want to fly higher/lower to the ground or at different speeds. Different settings yield different results.
- You can adjust the flight path orientation with rotation
- You can choose to save missions when creating them. Later on you can preview the missions and re-execute them.
- You can view photos from each of your missions in the mission gallery.
- You can send your photos for processing from the mission gallery. You will receive notifications when the image generation is complete.
- Sign up or log in to save all your surveys and access them on different Android devices. If you don't sign up/ log in and you reset your phone or buy a new one, you will lose your surveys. By signing up/logging in you can guarantee access to your saved surveys every time.

**FLYING TIPS**
1. Fly around the middle of the day to ensure there is enough daylight. The drone takes photos while it is moving, so if you fly early in the morning or late in the afternoon you may end up with blurry images.

2. Fly on overcast days. When it is overcast the imagery will not have sharp shadows. If you fly on an overcast day, the image will look more even as there won't be harsh differences in light

3. Fly on calm days. On calm days the drone will have more stability and the images will be captured closer to the original flight path

Drone Surveyor tries to use the optimal camera settings such as exposure and focus. It's much better if you fly between 11am and 2pm.

**IMPORTANT**
The drone must not be in sport mode when starting the mission. Please switch the drone into the standard flight setting before launching. Always fly in safe conditions and beware of obstacles.
