During the Shanivar Vrat Katha black flowers, black sesame seeds (til), horse bean (black urada) and black clothes are used for worship. A special Saturn idol made of iron is made and is worshipped and is finally donated. Shanivar (Saturday) is dedicated to Shani Devta (Saturn) on this day black colored clothes are worn and salt is avoided.
