车涯由深圳车涯互动科技有限公司研发，是以专业汽车测试设备P-GEAR 为基础,, 集汽车性能测试/运动车爱好者线上交流为主的汽车互动APP, 其测试方式是基于车涯的智能硬件设备――P－Gear，作为专业的高性能运动车测试硬件，P――Gear系统核心为每秒更新10次的高性能GPS芯片，实时与基于IPHONE平台的车涯APP通过蓝牙4.0芯片进行高速数据交换。
目前车涯开发的主要功能有：

1: 0-100km/h 与 100km/h-200km/h 测试
作为汽车性能的标志性参数，0-100公里/小时以及100公里/小时－200公里/小时需要的时间是非常重要的性能指标，以往车友需要耗费大量的金钱去购买昂贵的专业测试设备，来获得自己爱车相对比较准确的测试成绩，现在P－Gear以不到目前主流品牌1/10的价格就可以获得同样误差小于0.1秒的测试工具，同时得益于车涯APP的丰富界面效果，可以实时绘制以0.1秒为间隔的加速度、速度、时间曲线，并以每10公里/小时为区间显示加速所需要的时间，并且有高度变化曲线来展现是否有下坡偷跑嫌疑。

2：0-200米及 400米测试
与速度测试类似，测试汽车跑完200米或者400米所需要的时间。同样以丰富的图表方式展现0-100米200米 300米 400米所需要的时间及到达该距离的即时速度。并且以0.1秒为间隔绘制实时的速度、距离、加速度、时间曲线。

3：排行榜
车友通过车涯测试的成绩可以上传到车涯排行榜，与其他车友的成绩进行比较，排行榜按照地区、组别（按照车的排量进行分组）等进行分类，具备实时更新的特点，同时支持评论功能，可与个人空间等社交功能进行互动。

4：擂台赛
除了绝对的成绩排名：排行榜之外，我们还设计了擂台赛的功能，这项功能可以让车友以个人或团队的方式来发起一个短期的挑战赛，与三、五好友PK，不战不酣。

5：个人空间
每个车友都有独立的个人空间，除了个人资料、权限设置等基本属性外，系统设计了“我的车涯”“我的车库”等功能，记录自己的测试成绩及每辆车的详细情况，从动力、外观、底盘等多方面介绍自己的爱车情况及改装心得，以便其他车友作为参考。

车涯的研发团队主要是互联网从业人员，同时是汽车运动发烧友，车涯团队研发到推出1.0版本，整整花了一年的时间，期间进行了大量的实际上车测试，软件的功能部分只花了大约3个月的时间，其他都是在进行硬件的调试及算法的优化，我们团队努力的目标首先就是精准，同时也追求价格尽可能的亲民，随着Ver 1.0版本的推出，今后我们还将在P－GEAR硬件平台的强大功能基础上陆续推出其他更丰富的测试、竞赛项目，敬请各位车友们耐心等待。
