In this post, I am going to show you how to install MyNews Mobile on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install MyNews Mobile using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "MyNews Mobile" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

Welcome to MyNews app, a citizen reporting platform that connects professional and amateur journalists and citizen reporters,

MyNews is a citizen journalist mobile phone application that uses multimedia and geolocation to create real-time news which will be posted on www.mynews.am website. It allows users to post eyewitness accounts, news with headlines, text, video and images using their smartphones to the MyNews's database and to the www.mynews.am website.

MyNews allows to create and distribute news stories.

It is an application that enables the flow of news from people to people.

Once registered and logged in to MyNews users can select multimedia content from their smartphones or can take photo and video material using their smartphones', tabletsí cameras. They can identify their location via GPS or manually.

When the story is uploaded it is viewable by other visitors and citizen reporters of www.mynews.am via smartphones, tablets or computers.

Citizen reporters can select a standard news category for their story, including business, entertainment, elections and others.

Users can send their eyewitness reports to particular organizations, media outlets, journalists, activists that are registered in MyNews's database and subscribed to receive news updates from MyNews's citizen reporters. Users of www.mynews.am can comment on user generated stories on the website.

The app allows users to create a profile that others can view on www.mynews.am.

MyNews does not have character limits on the text, so users can upload as much text as they deem necessary to the database.
The MyNews development team also does not edit any of the user uploaded media on MyNews.
When and if content is inappropriate, readers can simply flag the story. Flagged posts are subject to review and cancellation by MyNews staff.

MyNews website (www.mynews.am ) was launched in January 2012.

MyNews is a project of Public Journalism Club (www.pjc.am) Non-Profit, based in Yerevan, Armenia, founded in 2011.
