If you want the strongest team for gym battles, you should only use (and level up) Pokemon with as close as possible to perfect IV values (otherwise you end up wasting stardust for when you actually find a Pokemon with high IV's).

However, IV's can be unnecessarily complex to understand and are thus ignored by many other players. This app attempts to help you figure out easily whether or not your Pokemon's IV values are good enough by providing an easy-to-read percentage value & recommendation text.

You can also compare CP and HP values against base and top levels of the same species, and reconfigure & refine the possibilities for the best result.
