The Tiruppavai is a collection of thirty stanzas (paasurams) written by Andal in praise of the Lord Perumal. It is part of Divya Prabandha, a work of the Twelve Alvars, and the most important part of Tamil literature.

Margazhi, during its special significance, receives a month's worth of each day from its name.
The first five stanzas provide an introduction to the main theme, its principle and purpose.
The next ten stanzas she describes as a community association.
The last nine stanzas are the Lord of the Glories.
On receiving his blessings Andal lists her demands; milk for the vrata, white conch, lamps, flowers, and rich costume and jewelry, plenty of ghee and butter.
The concluding stanza is an envoie identifying her as the daughter of the Vishnucittar who made 30 garments of this garland and who says that they have devotion with the Lord's blessings.

Dhanurmasam or Capricorn is known as the Dhanur-rasi or Sagittarius and the constellation of the constellation into the sun.
Kodhai Devi or Goda Devi / Andal incarnated on Earth after the 98th year of the Kali Era. She performed a vratham or vow called Dhanurmasa vratham to tell us that, by practicing this vratham, one can attain all eternal bliss with materialistic happiness.
