"Places Remember" is an application of the Nazi documentation center of Munich. Starting from the question of how Nazism Munich has influenced and penetrated, the application provides background information on a selection of 120 locations in and around Munich, which are connected with the Nazi past:


Places of ascension and the self-presentation of the NSDAP
Places the interweaving of Nazism with administration, business and industry
Places of penetration of society
Places of deprivation and persecution
Sites of resistance against Nazism.

Background texts, images, biographies, audio and video material to inform you which events, functions and people were associated with specific buildings and places and how these places changed throughout history. All traces and information aimed at stimulating a critical examination of the history of National Socialism.

- Augmented Reality: alternative navigation, view the POIs in the camera module
- Numerous media content either online or offline available (120 background information about POIs, over 400 photos, 20 audio, video and 9 about 50 biographies)


CARDS:
The zoomable detailed maps reveals the media content in and around Munich. The overview map provides a quick access to the regions with available content.
A central component of the application are the objects in the center of Munich. These objects and associated maps are integrated into the application and therefore be used offline. The settings can more offline maps and content to be recharged. Alternatively, the online map can be used by OpenStreetMap an active Internet connection.
The integrated GPS function with alert (= Ring) facilitates navigation and locating the POIs on site.


TOPICS / LOCATIONS:
The Topics view the available POIs are divided thematically. About the townscape the POIs can be displayed in a list. The search provides the ability to the available media content to filter and display the results in the map.


ROUTES:
The application offers four suggested routes through the city of Munich. This approximately one to two hour tours lead to important places of the history of National Socialism in Munich. The selected route is displayed automatically in the map. The POIs along the route are marked. If GPS is enabled, the current location in the map is displayed.

AR - AUGMENTED REALITY:
In the camera module content is displayed in the area (depending on the orientation of the camera).
