Q&A:
- Why need to create an account? Why not main account?
since niantic doesn't like this kind of app, so using main account may resulting a ban to that account(Even though no accounts have been banned yet from using this) That's why I ask you guys to create an new account. Besides, there's no reason for me to steal your username and password now if it's just a level1 new account, right?.
- Why Google account is not supported?
Actually, both PTC and google accounts are not supported. From the result of previous Q&A, no matter which account you are using right now, you will still need to apply a new PTC account to use it, so it is fair, right?
- Why so slow?
It is the best I can do right now, further improvement cannot be made due to niantic's problem.
- Why I see 1 Pokemon in one place, but when I get there, sightings/nearby Pokemons shows me 3?
First, by the time you get there, more Pokemons may have spawned, so those pokemons you cannot see on the map, maybe newly spawned. Secondly, sighting/nearby tab actually may have a bigger range than our scanning circle, so more pokemons on sightings are expected behaviour.
- Why scanning range is so small?
Click the 3 dots at the top right corner of the map page to get into settings, change scanning range from there. Bigger scanning range takes more time to scan the area.
- Why the app is not working anymore after about 2/3 days?
Did you verified your email after creating the new ptc account? They will disable the account if you haven't done so in 2 days, that may be the reason it stopped working. Verify email by clicking a verification link in the email which niantic's send to you immediately after signing up.
- Why can't I sign up? Why can't I change my birthday? Etc.
Try use a desktop browser to sign up via this link https://club.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-trainer-club/sign-up/
- Why is my Pokemon have leaving time like 30 - 40mins,
Those leaving times are wrong, a temporary fix for now is to subtract 30min from the time shown. For example, if you see a Snorlax that will stay there for 39mins, just treat it as 9min, it should work fine.
- Why so hard/so much work to do to use the app?
It is still better than not having one of this app right? I'm just trying to help players and make the game experience more convenient. I am doing it at my best now, so please respect the work, be nice and be patient.
I appreciate your support.
