Al-Muhlhal bin Rabi’a - Al-Zeer Salem is Uday bin Rabi’a bin al-Harith bin Zuhair bin Jashm bin Bakr bin Habib bin Amr bin Ghanam bin Tghlab al-Thalabi al-Waili. He is from the Anza tribe and he is from the people of the countries of the Arabian Peninsula and who prevails (died 90 BC / 534 AD). He is an Arab poet, Abu Layla, known as al-Muhalhal, and he is also known as Zeer Salem, one of the Arab heroes of pre-Islamic times. He is the grandfather of the poet Amr bin Kulthum, as Umm Amr is Layla bint al-Muhalhal, and he is the maternal uncle of the great poet, Suri al-Qais. It was the one who became the people a face and the one who spoke to them. And it is said that he was the first to say poetry. During his youth, he devoted himself to amusement and reincarnation with women, so he was called "the womanizer", meaning their sitter. When Jassas bin Marra killed his brother Wael bin Rabi’a, known by the nickname Kulaib, the lazy revolted, and he stopped drinking and amusing until he avenged his brother, and the events of Bakr and overcame the historically known war of al-Bassous, which lasted for forty years, and it had many wonders and news for the lazy. Al-Farazdaq says: And that first poet lulled, and he was the warden of war and the head of the families who defeated families in the last days of their days.
