The MANANTIALES AND SOURCES OF ANDALUSIA constitute a valuable economic socio-cultural and environmental heritage. Participatory project "KNOW YOUR SOURCES" (www.conocetusfuentes.com), promoted by the University of Granada, is building a catalog-inventory of springs and fountains of Andalusia, with the help of over 1,000 volunteers who provide information . The Junta de Andalucía, through collaboration of the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia and the Directorate General of Digital Policy, has developed this app using technology and sources of cartographic information you have.

Settle the "Fuentes de Andalucía" application and you can consult the more than 9000 fountains and springs listed on the inventory, including detailed technical information, pictures, and its precise location.

When you start the application, you will see your location on a map or orthophoto, a symbol highlighting the location of the nearest springs or sources. Clicking on them you can view summary information on natural sources or springs (name, type, watershed to which it belongs, and a photograph), which can be extended through the link to the page of the inventory, which contains a longer data (estimated flow rate, operating periods, uses and farms, hydrogeological characteristics, degree of conservation, threats, large photo gallery, etc.) relationship. From the app you can also consult free text (such as "sources in Ronda" or "springs in the province of Almería") to the entire inventory through service GeoBUSQUEDAS the Corporate GIS project of the Junta de Andalucía, Statistical technological infrastructure and Cartographic System of Andalusia.

So, you can get information field on the sources and springs that are in your environment (how you call this source? What features does your water?) Or plan a hiking route when know if you are getting points where freshen and give you water.
