Vasantham Radio was started on April 21, 2008 as a part of the Independent Media Network by the then President Anura Sriwardena. In the early days Mr. Jeevaratnakumar was in charge and Siddique M. Haneefa was in charge and 06 announcers were in charge.

Today, Mr. Vasantham became the Assistant Manager of Radio. M.L. Kirubakaran also has 17 announcers with a notice of 28 employees.
Vasantham Radio, which started with the motto 'Tamil Breath', initially served as the only regional radio station in the Eastern Province.

No one will ever forget the sound of the spring on 97.6, no matter which direction you turn in the Eastern Province. This success later touched the soil of Jaffna with a bandwidth of 97.3 and resounded its music all over Sri Lanka.

In 2011, the Sri Lankan government announced that all radio frequencies would be changed. Based on that we got 102.6 FM / 102.8 FM frequencies and our artistic sound could be heard all over Sri Lanka.

Not only across the country but also across the seas www.vasanthamfm.lk is known for the love and support of many people across the internet. In today's world of day-to-day radio, its quality is still enduring because of the excellent guidance, effective programs, talented announcers and dear Nair natives.
