The story of Dilan and Milea with his 1991 film, Dilan, was indeed the result of an adaptation of a novel. Namely the work of national writers and film directors from the city of Bandung, Pidi Baiq or familiarly called by the father of Pidi.

Speaking of Dilan, it seems like you already know. You millennials are definitely familiar with this one character. Especially after in early 2018, the story was appointed into a big screen film with the same title as the novel. The film itself was quite successful in the market, viral on social media and became a "boom"

This novel tells the story of Milea, a transfer student from Jakarta who met Dilan at her new high school in Bandung. With a background in 1990, this story has a positive capital to stand out in the middle of the current generation of teenagers (although that is not the main point of Pidi Baiq writing this story)
Milea's own character, observing from her reaction to Dilan's character, was originally a super normal girl. You could say he was the type that went with the flow, following the direction of his environment.
