In this post, I am going to show you how to install CandyRockStar on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install CandyRockStar using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "CandyRockStar" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 1] For better performance and compatibility, choose BlueStacks 5 Nougat 64-bit read more

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

How to install CandyRockStar on Windows PC using NoxPlayer

  1. Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
  3. The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "CandyRockStar" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

1: Hold the smartphone sideways and launch the app. After the "Made with Unity" logo is displayed, a dialog box requesting "Access to camera" will pop up. At this time, be sure to tap "OK" to allow the request, and do not tap "Do not allow". If you tap "Do not allow" by mistake, you will not be able to select the menu after that, so in that case, please delete the application once and reinstall it.

2: When the menu appears next time, set the smartphone in the slide. At this time, adjust and fix the position where the zip tape is attached so that the "Bello" part firmly holds the smartphone so that it does not slip off.

3: The menu is displayed in front of you when you look into the graph, so rotate your body to the left and overlap the [Screen size] menu at the left edge of the screen with the "sphere cursor visible in the center of the screen". Tap the right button of (referred to as "selection" hereafter). The screen will switch to the compatible model list, so select the smartphone model you are using and then select [Decision] to confirm the model you are using.

4: If the menu does not fit in the field of view or is displayed tilted, tap the left button to display it directly in front.

5: After returning to the original menu, start the play by selecting the [MR], [VR], [AR] menu you want to experience.

6: During play, tap the left button of DAN-GRA to display the menu at any time. The functions and roles of the right and left buttons of Dangra and each menu displayed on the screen are as follows.

* If the character (unity-chan) does not appear in front of you even after playing, please rotate your body and search for it. If you want to change the front position, face the direction and restart the app.

*The popup in the dialog box is only displayed at the first launch immediately after installing the application, and will not be displayed after the second time.


[Dangra left and right buttons] *When using the smartphone alone, the screen [bottom left △] and [bottom right △]

[Left Button] Press this during play (when the menu is not displayed on the screen) to pop up the menu. Press while the menu is displayed to display the menu directly in front.

[Right button] Functions when the menu is displayed. You can confirm it by rotating the body to the left and right to display the desired menu on the front and pressing the button when the cursor on the sphere is aligned.

[Screen size] Select from the smartphone size

*Since the display screen of the smartphone is adjusted to the size of the mirror or lens, the screen display will be relatively reduced as the LCD size of the smartphone increases.

[Two eyes/Single eye] Switch between single-lens/two-lens mode

[System menu] Move to the basic (System) menu screen where you can select MR/VR/AR, IPD, ScreenSize, etc.

[IPD] Correct pupil distance with software

[MR] Mixed Reality = Mixed reality mode, the background image is displayed by overlaying the live-action image through a half-mirror

[VR] Virtual Reality = Virtual reality mode, both the character and the background are displayed in 3D.

[AR] Augmented Reality=Augmented Reality mode, the background image is displayed by overlaying the live-action image through the camera of the smartphone.

[Startup setting] (preliminary menu for developers)

[Decision] Confirms the menu selected immediately before and advances to the next screen.

[Restart] Returns to the screen (menu) immediately after starting the application.
