TRANSFORMING FIELD WORKER PRODUCTIVITY WITH AUGMENTED REALITY

Plantweb Optics Augmented Reality overlays digital information on the physical world for increased productivity, safety, and insight. This digital experience is transforming the way workers accomplish complex tasks by giving them critical information as they perform operations and maintenance repairs.

The result is a digitally connected workforce equipped to complete tasks more accurately and keep production running with fewer interruptions. This means lower operational costs, reduced downtime for maintenance and operational tasks, and increased safety.

EASILY NAVIGATE ACROSS THE PLANT TO IDENTIFY ASSETS AND PROCESSES THAT NEED ATTENTION

Improve situational awareness by using spatial computing technology to visually map assets in the plant. Field workers can navigate to the source of the problem faster, accelerating how quickly maintenance and operations personnel conduct rounds or critical procedures.

INCREASE ASSET UPTIME AND REDUCE TRAVEL COSTS WITH LIVE REMOTE ASSISTANCE

Remote assistance, supported by augmented reality, helps reduce travel costs. Field workers and remote experts can collaborate visually to efficiently resolve issues. Experts can remotely inspect and provide immediate guidance that improves fix rates

Key Highlights of Live Remote Assistance:
• Access instant support via audio and video conference calls.
• Brainstorm with multiple experts while sharing a field of view with a remote technician.
• Use the online chat feature to communicate in noisy environments.
• Easily exchange multimedia files.
• Send augmented reality annotated procedures to guide technicians.
• Accommodate various internet bandwidth networks with automatic throttling of video quality.

VISUALIZE ASSET HEALTH AND PROCESS DATA FOR EFFICIENT TROUBLESHOOTING

Integrating with Plantweb Optics, field workers instantly get IoT data, such as health and current active alerts. Without the need for walkie-talkies to get data in the field, workers can quickly access diagnostics and recommendations from assets and higher-level analytics relevant to a specific asset to help resolve issues faster.

RETAIL KNOWLEDGE AND ACCELERATE WORKFORCE TRAINING

Skilled workers and experts are aging out or tough to find. Hiring experts is an option, but it is costly. With Plantweb Optics Augmented Reality, you can train workers to become the next generation of experts. There are multiple sources of information available that could help retain knowledge in the organization and train new, less experienced workers at a faster rate.

Knowledge Database: Capture practical knowledge created during the service process and store it in a dedicated library, which is easily searchable, editable, and shareable for re-use.

Knowledge on Demand: Enhance training and knowledge transfer with augmented-reality-supported documentation such as annotated videos. The result is higher quality work with fewer mistakes.
