The Pope is a simple app, but with an essential function for supermarkets and other types of retail stores.

Its main function is to eliminate queues at checkouts. Faced with the "new normal", where there are several restrictions on the permanence of customers inside the stores, in addition to the minimum distance that ends up causing even longer queues, reducing these queues has become practically mandatory.

Using the Papa-Filas app, a supermarket attendant will be able to go through the carts still in the queue, before reaching the cashier, reading the products and generating a printed QR code, which will contain all the products and the customer's CPF so that the cashier just read it once.

This process saves an average of 5 minutes per service at checkout. This represents, in a queue with 6 people, 30 minutes less than the last customer in the queue, inside the store.

It is much less time of exposure to risks for customers and cashiers!

How it works:

The app can be downloaded on any Android phone.

From there, just activate the "Read code" function and the system to scan the product's barcode will open for reading.

After reading, the product code will appear in the "Cart Items" list and the product will be added to the QR Code to be presented at the checkout.

With the "Continuous" reading option, the app will read continuously every x seconds (configurable), just positioning the product, without having to click "Read Code" again.

If the reading is not possible, due to the failure to print the code or any other reason, just enter the code in the "Type / Use Scanner" field and click the "Checked" button.

To delete an item from the "Cart items" list, just click on the code and confirm the deletion.
Using barcode reader:

It is possible to use a barcode reader, connecting it to the cell phone's usb (a usb to mini usb adapter will be needed).

For the reading to be done, it is necessary to click on the "Type / Use Scanner" field initially.

After each reading, the code will be added to the list.

After completing the reading of all the items in the cart, it is necessary to put the customer's CPF in the CPF field.

After that, click on the printer icon. The QR Code will be opened for printing.
We suggest the use of a mini thermal printer (for sale in several marketplaces, such as Mercado Livre, Americanas, among others). It can be placed in a shoulder bag and can be used even by an employee working standing up.

Third-party printable app:
The app does not manage printing. For this, we use the PrinterShare app, which is free and offers connections with mini thermal printers from different manufacturers.

Third party app for accurate barcode reading:
The app does not scan the barcode directly. We suggest installing the Barcode Scanner app.

Integration with rear systems:

If you want to check the product name after reading it, you will need to configure the import of stock items through a csv file placed directly on the cell phone.

In settings (gear icon), configure "import cvs" as yes, insert the file path in the cell phone and the positions of the code and the name of the products in the csv. Then click on the "Load csv items" icon, wait for it to load and click on Save settings.

To keep the csv up to date, it will be necessary to use a third-party app to synchronize the inventory file with the cell phone.
