The Northwest Food Processors Association is pleased to release the 2015 edition of its annual Membership Directory & Resource Guide, the most comprehensive compilation of food manufacturing companies and product/service providers for the Northwest food processing industry. NWFPA’s primary focus is to enhance the competitiveness of our members within an increasingly global marketplace. One key to enhanced competiveness for both NWFPA’s processor and supplier members, is enhanced connection. This Directory, available only to NWFPA members, is the most inclusive resource for those who want to do business with our industry. Filled with company descriptions, key contacts and other essential information, the NWFPA Directory is an indispensable reference for any company looking to expand its client base and capabilities.

This is the first edition solely available in digital format: online at www.nwfpa.org/directory or as an app for Andriod or Apple mobile devices. Moving to a digital format allows for searchable, real-time, year-round updates. No more waiting for a year for the most recent changes in contact or company information. The electronic mediums lend themselves to seamless connection! No more having to track down a copy, sift through 400 pages, and then call or email a member. Now you can do either right from your device. Rather than one copy per location, all employees of member companies can create accounts and access member-only information and publications. That’s enhanced connection.

Lastly, cost. The staff time, print, design and mailing costs grew substantially in 2014, as membership diversified and expanded. As stewards of association funds, a print version of the directory was inefficient – especially since a solution exists to better connect members. We’d be remiss not to take advantage of these technologies and cost-savings.

The overall intent of NWFPA – and this directory – is to help each and every member connect and thrive – with us, our subject matter experts, and each other. We’re pleased and honored that your company has chosen to participate in NWFPA.

David McGiverin
Interim President, Northwest Food Processors Association
