Enjoy animated(!) optical illusions and animated geometry!

You think geometry is boring?! Nah! It's not. They just don't tell you all the truth at school - but we do and will show you the fun side of geometry. Simple shapes, moved in simple pattern will trick your brain to see what is not there. 3 major types of animations are available with each of them having their own set of parameters:
1) Matryoshka,
2) Bars,
3) Chessboard.

You can adjust their parameters by selecting the corresponding tab under the Animation Parameters section. Once you are done with editing, just leave the settings screen by pressing the back button and the animation, whose parameters was edited last will be shown. Use the presets, if the myriad of options becomes too overwhelming.

1) Matryoshka
This animation uses nested 2D shapes of fixed sizes, which are moved around in a 2D plane. Depending on the settings, you will see spirals, rotating shapes or 3D figures.

2) Bars
This animation just uses bars, which are moved either left-right or up-down, but depending on the settings you will see diagonal moving bars and other 3D figures.

3) Chessboard
This is just a simple chessboard, where the squares are just move around. Nonetheless these simple animations will produce a lot of optical illusions like twisted lines. Enjoy.

Warning (Epilepsy) - Photosensitivity and Seizures

This app involves rolling images, flickering or flashing lights, visual patterns and contrasting colors. Under certain conditions this may trigger seizures in photosensitive people:

"For about 3 percent of people with epilepsy, exposure to flashing lights at certain intensities or to certain visual patterns can trigger seizures. This condition is known as photosensitive epilepsy. Photosensitive epilepsy is more common in children and adolescents, especially those with generalized epilepsy, and a type known as juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. It becomes less frequent with age, with relatively few cases in the mid twenties. Many people are unaware that they are sensitive to flickering lights or to certain kinds of patterns until they have a seizure. They may never go on to develop epilepsy with spontaneous seizures. They could just have seizures triggered by certain photic conditions. Many individuals who are disturbed by light exposure do not develop seizures at all, but have other symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness and more. They do not have epilepsy. ..."
