Loro Piceno is very attached to its traditional product par excellence and that's why, for over half a century, we organized a real Cotto Wine Festival. It began in 1948 at the hands of a carpenter said "Mero" and was called "Grape Festival"; with floats decorated with vines and wheat, he wanted to be a hymn to agricultural products and, in particular, to mulled wine.
The 60 the same Municipality began to patronize this event that became known as the "FESTIVAL OF WINE COTTO" and that since then is held in August each year.
Today this event "WINE FESTIVAL COTTO" has come to be a popular event at the regional level and beyond, with food stands, concerts, shows, exhibitions, cultural events, market of typical local handicrafts and of course cellars where you can taste the famous mulled wine!
